Dear Cludo customers,
Some of you were impacted by this outage that rendered one of our domains (customer.cludo.com) unresponsive.
This in turn affected visitor's ability to use search. Our team responded to the incident almost immediately and identified that the issue was caused by an unexpected change of one of our webserver's IP addresses. The DNS update for this took some time to reach all users, which prolonged the time to resolution.
For a very small subset of our customers, the impact was further exacerbated by the fact that their Cludo implementation is missing a defer
parameter in the search script. We are now working on identifying all such customers and will take active steps to help update the implementation and ensure limited impact from any Cludo related incidents in the future. We are committed to do everything in our power to alleviate any potential risks.
We already took steps to prevent a similar scenario in the future and will perform a full audit of our practices to ensure that we mitigate any foreseeable risks to potential infrastructure changes.
